Other members of my family stayed across the pond at the Yacht Club and now I wish I would have spent the extra money to stay there - it was a lot nicer and cleaner than the Dolphin. Last year in 2021, we stayed at the Animal Kingdom Lodge and had a way better experience. I feel there are a lot nicer places to stay in the Disney realm. In conclusion, I would not stay at this hotel again or recommend it to anyone. The walkway from the Dolphin to the Swan was pretty at night when it was lit up. If you're looking for a hotel close to the parks, it was easy to get to Magic Kingdom and Epcot, as you could ride the water taxi or walk, and also close to the Skyliner. Since we had to move rooms to the 7th floor, I found myself getting lost every time I left the room.

The hotel was extremely huge and very confusing. We had rented a car and bought a few groceries for the room and had to wheel them in a suitcase, it was that far of a walk. It would be excruciating for someone in a wheelchair or had problems walking.

There was also a fee for parking and getting to the parking lot was quite a trek. We did enjoy the ice cream at the Fountain, however. Shula's Steakhouse and the BlueZoo restaurant require reservations and have a dress code. There are quite a few choices for food, but we found most of it to be mediocre and had better experiences off Disney. We noticed the carpets were pretty worn going down the hallways and the A/C was cranked up so high, it felt like Antarctica walking down the hall. We were comped $300 for switching rooms and could see fireworks from Magic Kingdom out the window, but still sad we were without a balcony with a view. Also, new room had a fingernail clipping on the floor, a used tooth flosser in the closet and a lost cough drop under the bed. We had to move rooms and unfortunately there were no more rooms available with balconies and were stuck with a room with absolutely no view, just a view of the awning over the front door when you come in. All the pounding and workers talking kept up us half the night. Friday night, the first night we stayed, there was a massive water leak I believe coming from the ice machine which absolutely ponded the whole wing. We had a nice room on the main floor, close to all the restaurants and gift shops, with a balcony which is what I had paid for with a very nice view. There are bargains to be had at outlet malls, but don't assume that the deals there will always be the best price available on top-quality, current merchandise.Family and I stayed Oct 7-14, 2022. That value is equal or better to what you could find in an outlet shop, even if you could find current fashion there. On the other hand, the big department stores will often have sales - I have purchased current men's fashions from Macy's at 30-40% off, with a coupon that takes another 20% off that.

The largest outlet mall in Orlando is just a mile south of the Mall at Millenia, so the more upscale manufacturers are not as likely to provide discounted current product to outlet stores, especially clothing lines. Major retailers will object to manufacturers providing current merchandise to outlet malls nearby a regular mall.

Where an outlet store does have a full line of current merchandise, it is likely that it is just another regular shop with prices that may not be real bargains, even though it may be physically located in an outlet mall. Shoppers expect regular stores to be stocked with a full line of current fashion in a wide selection of sizes, while the expectation of outlet stores is more hit-or-miss with last season's fashions and only some sizes. Many of the smaller shops in outlet malls are branded with manufacturers' names to imply that they are manufacturer direct to the customer, but that is often not the case. However, some outlets do sell merchandise that was intended for the outlet in the first place and was never in the regular stores. Outlet malls can have smaller, outlet versions of some of those department stores, like "Off Fifth" or "Nordstrom Rack", where unsold or second-quality merchandise is offered at supposedly deeply-discounted prices. as anchors, and a variety of chain and a few local shops in between. Physically, most regular shopping malls have larger department stores - like Macy's, Dillard's, Sears, Penny's, Nordstrom, Sak's, Neiman-Marcus, etc. The distinction is very blurred, as I have sometimes seen better prices at regular malls, such as Florida Mall, Mall at Milennia, or Altamonte Mall, to mention few around Orlando.
